DEPRESSION
Depression can be caused by inherited traits from our parents, our genetic make up, medical illnesses, and environmental causes. Environmental causes are factors that can happen within our everyday lives such as prolonged stress, coping with the loss of a loved one, or traumatic events.
A high amount of individuals who become depressed report that a single traumatic event occurred prior to the symptoms being shown. Experiences such as the death of a loved one, divorce, or medical illnesses can impact upon an individual and trigger clinical depression.
